JEANNE E. LANSHE wrote
a letter of application to Mother Therese of Jesus,
Foundress of the Carmelite Nuns of Allentown in August
of 1932. It reads, in part:
|
|
|
"I feel as though
it is time to unveil my craving and fulfill the Call
of God... the sole purpose, after my entrance
into Carmel will be to live for God alone - for sacrifice!
To me each day is an eternity. I do not find the
world inviting or attractive - oftimes I long to hide
- my desire: To be a forget-me-not planted in the heart
of Jesus!"
